Wokingham Strengthen Squad with Two Key Additions for 2026

Wokingham Cricket Club have been active during the off-season, adding two experienced players to their squad as preparations continue for the 2026 Home Counties Premier League campaign.

Max Uttley joins as a proven county-level off-spinner within the Buckinghamshire set-up, bringing control, experience and a strong understanding of conditions at this level. His ability to contribute consistently with the ball adds depth to Wokingham’s attack and provides a reliable option through the middle overs.

Alongside him, Henry Chapman makes the move to Wokingham ahead of the new season. Chapman arrives with strong Premier League experience and a track record of contributing in successful sides. His addition strengthens the batting group and adds further competition within the squad.

Captain Tom Hampton welcomed the new arrivals.

“Really pleased to welcome two excellent additions to the squad. Both arrive from a title-winning side and bring valuable experience and quality. With a strong desire to make an impact, they significantly strengthen the group as we prepare for the new season.”

For Wokingham, the focus this winter has been on adding quality without disrupting the existing core. Uttley’s county experience and Chapman’s top-level exposure provide exactly that — players who understand the demands of the league and are ready to contribute from the outset.

With pre-season underway, Wokingham head into 2026 with added depth, experience and genuine competition for places.
