Great Brickhill Has Announced A Triple Boost For Their 2025 Home Counties Premier League, Division One campaign.
A few weeks ago, Brickhill revealed that experienced left-arm spinner Navin Karikara will return to Horsepond for a fourth season after a highly successful past three years.
The 34 year-old, who once dismissed Virat Kohli twice in a game, boasts an impressive record having helped Brickhill reach the top division of the league. He has taken 172 wickets at an average of 12.08, plus scored 1299 runs at an average of 32.48. He was the second highest wicket taker in the league in 2024 with 42 dismissals.
In addition for 2025, Brickhill has announced two signings as Aum Raykar and Sai Boorghu join for next season. Both players having previously played for the youth section at the club.
Raykar, an 18 year-old batter, has played nine games for Northants in the 2nd XI Championship and three T20 matches during the last two seasons. He has previously played for Old Northamptonians and Overstone Park.
Boorghu, a right-arm, fast-medium bowler, is also 18 years old, and has played for the Northants 2nd XI in both the Champtionship (1) and T20 (4).
Talking about the club’s latest two additons, Brickhill’s director of cricket, James Clark, told the club’s social media:
Great Brickhill CC are delighted to announce the double capture of Aum Raykar and Sai Boorghu for the 2025 season. Both players were involved with the club as juniors, and are now making strides as part of the Northants CCC set-up.
We hope that playing in the Home Counties Premier League for Great Brickhill CC will give them an opportunity to showcase their talents in the best regional league around.
They’ll play a big part in our plans for 2025 and beyond and are thrilled to welcome them back home.
The three players will join a club who worked hard to keep their division one spot, and will be looking to continue moving forwards.
