EK Robotics Ground Breaking Deal With Buckingham Town

Buckingham Town Cricket Club has announced the biggest sponsorship deal in the club’s history with EK Robotics.

The agreement provides EK Robotics with naming rights to Buckingham Town’s Bourton Road ground with immediate effect and for the next three years. It will be known as the EK Robotics Cricket Ground.

EK Robotics is the leading manufacturer and system integrator of innovative high-tech transport robotics for production and warehouse logistics for every industry.

The generous gesture by EK Robotics is one that is not just excellent news for the local community club, but also the surrounding area.

Commenting on the exciting new deal, Mike Downard, vice-chair of Buckingham Town Cricket Club, said:

The partnership is the biggest in Buckingham Town’s history. EK Robotics support is crucial to us as we continue to strive towards winning matches whilst creating an inclusive, enjoyable atmosphere at the club and providing excellent facilities to play cricket, here at the EK Robotics Cricket Ground. We are proud to be agreeing to this deal for the next three years.

It is an incredibly exciting and important deal for BTCC. I believe it will support our growth from Junior cricket, extended into all of the senior sides and help us regain our place among the Home Counties elite cricket league. It will allow us to invest in the facilities and will have a clearly visible impact at all levels.

I’d like to thank Chris and EK Robotics for choosing to partner BTCC and for having the vision to be the first to take the naming rights for the ground here at Bourton Road. We all look forward to welcoming Chris and his family during the seasons to come.

Chris Price, the Managing Director at EK Robotics, believes in the local community working together and that health and well-being is a vital part of people’s lives. That is why Buckingham Town Cricket Club is a perfect partner. He explained how the relationship was created, plus how they had supported a previous local project with the same ethos.

Local businesses in Buckingham try very hard to support each other and build relationships in our community. M2 carry out work for EK Robotics and as such a discussion came about due to EK Robotics previous sponsorship of The Royal Latin School, and our subsequent building of the EK Robotics Sports Campus in 2022.

Any sport is very important as part of today’s work life balance and mental health, therefore as with our support of the RLS Sports Campus, it only seemed the right thing to do to help another sport locally.

Does Price’s thought process of the bigger picture mean supporting a local community club is important to him and EK Robotics?

Absolutely, as a family-run business and a local company it is important that we support our community in any way we can, as well as promoting health and mental fitness.

The kind gesture has the hope of creating a brighter future in the area.

We never go into these things with an agenda, other than to know we are helping to build a better community and future for everyone as a whole.

The message is very positive from the sponsor of the EK Robotics Cricket Ground, which will definitely benefit not just Buckingham Town Cricket Club, but also the wider community.

EK Robotics are proud to support and give back to the local community in which we have chosen to base our international business.
